Roof Painting Services
Roof painting for Sydney homes – tiled and metal roofs cleaned, prepared and recoated to protect them and refresh the look of the house.
Roof painting in Sydney
Sydney’s sun, storms and salt air are hard on a roof. Over time the coating on tiles or metal sheeting fades, chalks and stops protecting the surface underneath, and a tired roof can make a well-kept house look older than it is. A roof repaint protects the surface and is one of the most visible improvements you can make to the outside of your home.
We paint roofs on their own or as part of a full exterior repaint, so the roof colour can be matched to your new walls, trims, gutters and fascias.
How a roof repaint usually works
- Inspection and quote – we look at the roof material, the condition of the existing coating and any damage, and give you a free written quote.
- Cleaning – the roof is cleaned to remove dirt, moss, lichen and loose paint so the new coating can bond.
- Preparation – rust spots on metal roofs are treated, and any repairs needed are discussed with you before painting starts.
- Primer or sealer – a primer or sealer suited to the roof material is applied.
- Top coats – the roof is finished in the colour you choose, applied in suitable weather.
- Final check and clean-up – we inspect the work with you and leave the site clean.
Tiled and metal roofs
Concrete tiles, terracotta tiles and metal roof sheeting each need different products and preparation. We recommend the right paint system for your roof and explain the options before work starts.
Choosing a roof colour
Lighter roof colours reflect more of the sun’s heat, while darker colours show less dirt. It is worth looking at the whole house – walls, trims, gutters and fence – before deciding. Read our guide on how to choose paint colour or ask us for help.
Safety
Working at height needs the right access and safety equipment, so we plan the access for each roof before the job starts.
